About Hunterdon Roofing Experts
Roofing for Hunterdon County properties, with an emphasis on diagnosing what is actually wrong before recommending what to do about it.
Roofing built around Hunterdon County's buildings
Hunterdon County has an unusually varied building stock for its size. The Delaware River boroughs are dense and shallow-pitched, with parapet walls and low-slope rear sections. The central townships mix surviving farmhouses with substantial post-war and later development. The northern uplands are wooded, hilly and exposed. Each of those produces its own roofing problems.
We work across all of it, and we approach each property on its own terms rather than applying one standard scope everywhere. A stone farmhouse with a plank deck and a large masonry chimney needs different detailing from a 1990s development house with six roof planes and four valleys — and both need something different again from a barn carrying exposed-fastener metal.
That is the whole idea behind how the site is organised: service pages explain the work, municipality pages explain the local conditions, and the resource articles explain how roofs actually fail so you can judge advice — ours included — for yourself.

Getting Back to You
Requests are reviewed and we contact you using the details you provide. If your roof is open or actively leaking, call rather than email so we can treat it as urgent.
How We Work
What you can expect from us
Diagnosis before quoting
Water rarely enters directly above the stain it leaves inside. We work backwards from the interior evidence — and, where the attic is accessible, from the underside of the deck — so the recommendation addresses the cause rather than the symptom.
Repair when repair is right
If the covering still has serviceable life and the damage is confined, we will say so. We would rather give you an accurate picture than sell a roof you do not need yet.
Flashing in metal
Roofing cement over a joint becomes the waterproofing, and sealant has a far shorter service life than metal. Where we find that, we remove it and rebuild the detail properly.
Ventilation checked
A ridge vent above blocked soffit intake moves almost no air. We check that both halves exist and that the intake path is clear, because it is often why a roof aged faster than it should have.
Scope in writing
What is included, which materials, and how decking replacement is priced if tear-off reveals soft sheathing. If something changes mid-job, we discuss it with you before carrying it out.
Clear communication
Plain language, photographs where they make the point better than words, and an honest answer when the answer is that nothing needs doing yet.

Residential and commercial capability
On the residential side that means everything from a single failed pipe boot to a full tear-off and rebuild — on period borough houses, farmhouses, ranches and split-levels, and newer construction with complex rooflines. It also means the outbuildings: barns, stables, garages and equipment sheds, which on many Hunterdon properties carry more roof area than the house.
On the commercial side it means low-slope membrane systems — TPO, EPDM and modified bitumen — where the failures are at seams, terminations and equipment penetrations rather than in the open field, and where planned maintenance is considerably cheaper than reactive repair.
Our Process
How We Work
The same sequence on every job, so you always know what happens next.
Get in touch
Tell us what you are seeing — a stain, a missing shingle, a roof you know is old. Photographs help if you have them.
Inspection
We assess the roof surface and, where access allows, the attic side, so the diagnosis is based on where water is actually travelling.
Findings and options
A plain explanation of what we found and why it matters, including an honest view on whether repair or replacement is the better use of your money.
Written estimate
Scope, materials and price in writing before any work begins, so you know exactly what is included.
The work
Carried out with the property protected. Failed components are removed and rebuilt rather than covered over, and we talk to you before any scope changes.
Cleanup and walkthrough
Debris cleared, a magnetic sweep for nails, and a review of what was done and what the work revealed.
What we do not claim
You will not find invented credentials on this site. We do not publish licence numbers, insurance statements, manufacturer certifications, accreditations, awards, star ratings, review counts, testimonials or a project history that we have not documented — because publishing any of those without evidence would be making them up.
We also do not advertise 24/7 availability or promise a response within a set number of minutes, because we will not commit to a window we have not verified we can meet. If your roof is open, call us and we will tell you honestly when we can get there.
Where this site uses stock photography, it is licensed for commercial use and captioned for what it actually shows. None of it is presented as our own completed work, and every image's source, author and licence is listed on the image credits page.
